The House in Town

Since opening its doors in September 2011 The House In Town has been going from strength to strength, all thanks to our amazing customers. In January 2020 we opened our second shop, further down the street at No. 33.

We are an independent retailer situated in the bohemian St. Peter’s Street, close to the Ipswich Waterfront.  The street is home to other great shops such as the famous Maud’s Attic, and Merchant House Interiors.  With access to over 100,000 items we offer far far more than you will see in the shop (or on this website), so you only have to ask or come and look at our brochures.  Our ethos is to keep the prices low, the service high, and customers will return time and time again.

The one thing that motivates us is customer satisfaction.  We won’t ever become a web-based business because we love meeting, and chatting with our customers.  Also, if we have to pay someone to keep a website constantly updated it is the customer who has to indirectly pay their wages!  We would rather keep our expenses, and thus our prices as low as we can.
