A visit from the Chancellor

The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, visited a number of businesses on St Peters Street on Monday 9th May. He was accompanied by Tom Hunt MP and Helen Whatley MP, Exchequer Secretary.

The Chancellor was in Ipswich speaking at the Google – Getting Britain Growing – event…. Initiative at Ipswich Town Football Club. Whilst in town he took the opportunity to visit several businesses on St Peters Street, including Hullabaloo, Hug Lifestyle, Applaud Coffee and Loveone. It was a great opportunity for the businesses to discuss the challenges facing our high streets and small businesses, especially coming out of the pandemic but also in light of the cost of living debate that is now facing us all.
